Brave warriors of VP! I bring a message from the Aesir of old.
The Aesir have granted 15 females and 7 males a spot in Valhalla among the Einherjer. The Ejnherjer are all Viking warriors who died in battle. Now they feast and fight in Valhalla.
The Aesir only want the best of the best, so you have to fight for your spot. It is not enough to only be good at one thing to survive the battle: you must be skilled in many areas.
This battle will take place during four rounds, each with a different discipline you have to conquer. After each round your performance will be judged. The results will count toward the final score, and the best in each discipline will receive a token for their efforts.
Beside a spot in Asgard, the bravest warriors will also receive a gorgeous outfit designed by @mikkelrev so they can be well dressed when they arrive.
But do you have what it takes to earn a spot in Odin's Hall?
Welcome back to the second round of the battle for a spot in Odin's Hall. The second challenge is one based on death and deception. To win this round, you have to dress up your avatar in a look inspired by the story of the Death of Balder.
Balder was the son of Odin and his wife Frigg. He was the favourite of the gods, and always good and just. However, he started to dream about his death, and as dreams were often prophetic, this was seen as a bad sign. Odin then went to visit a seer in the underworld who confirmed that he would die soon after. To prevent this, his mother Frigg went to every object on earth that could create death; the elements, animals, trees, metal and diseases, and made them all swear to never hurt her son. Then all the inhabitants of Asgard decided to make fun out of the situation by throwing spears and rocks and other hard objects at Balder. They just bounced off of him.
Loki, however, wanted to cause some mischief. So, in disguise, he went and asked Frigg if she really had made everything swear not to hurt Balder, and she revealed that she hadn't asked the mistletoe because it was too small to be a threat. Loki then quickly went to get the mistletoe and made a dart out if it. He gave it to Hod, Balder's blind brother, and helped him aim at Balder. The mistletoe went right through Balder and he immediately died.
Everyone was heartbroken, and Frigg got the god Hermod to ride to Hel in the hope of getting Balder back. He pleaded with Hel to let him go, and she decided that if the Aesir could prove that Balder truly was as loved as they claimed, he would be allowed to leave. To prove it, everything in all nine worlds, alive or dead, would have to weep for him, but if just one thing didn't, she wouldn't let him go.
The Aesir then sent messengers to every corner of the worlds asking everything to weep, and weep they did. On their way home, the messengers came across a giantess named Thokk and told her of their problem and that everything else had wept. But she told them she would only shed dry tears, and so the messengers had to return to Asgard with the bad news. And all of the Aesir believed that Thokk was actually Loki in disguise.

You have until the end of Odin's day next week to post your entry. That means, the deadline for posting entering is Wednesday October 7th, 23.59 CEST. Entries posted after that time will not be counted. You can see what time it is here.
The Aesir does not have many rules, but those that are, are as following:
- No side accounts
- You are not allowed to use unreleased items
- Post your outfit in this thread before the deadline. If you want to change something, delete the entry and make a new post
Breaking those is not something a brave and honest warrior will do, so if the rules are not followed your entry will not count.
You can use someone else's wardrobe as long as you mention whose you are using.

Beside adding to their final score, the best looks will receive the following prizes. For males, thanks to @askr you will now be able to blend in among the elves, and females will get a beautiful viking dress made by @Mordiera .
Best of luck, and may the battle begin!
