The UN has declared the 5th of May for Portuguese language day. It is a day to celebrate the language and Lusophone culture.
While I could make a longer post about the Portuguese language and culture, I do think it would bore most popstars, so instead I'll link this Wikipedia article on that exact topic.
This is to say that Portuguese is a widely spoken language, with lots of different cultures represented. Due to this it's also been hard to actually make a coherent theme out of this day, due to sheer amount of talent and inspiration out there like Sofia Ayuso, Nadir Tati, Helon Melon or Isolda.
And while colourful clothing and shapes seem to be a common red thread through it all, I have decided to keep it simple with a dress up inspired by the Portuguese tiles azulejo, as shown below
While making an outfit inspired by the picture above, you can listen to Canções Para Abreviar Distâncias (or, as it's called in English: Songs to Abbreviate Distances: a trip through the Portuguese language) to really celebrate this day and the diversity of Portuguese speaking countries' culture.
