it's not about the fish tho, it's about the climate and how industrial fishing is basically fucking the planet harder than chopping the entire rainforest. plus an extreme amount of other sea animals get slaughtered in the process as well as there are no safety regulations to make sure that they don't, and also they don't even try to not kill dolphins and turtles. i would really recommend watching it

the part that i was most surprised about was when they said plastic straws take up 0.03% of all plastics in the ocean. i knew before watching the documentary that it was a low percentage but not that low

the thing is i only eat fish 2-3 times throughout in a year, so i will probably still allow myself to eat it as the industry wouldn't be like this ig if everyone ate meat as "often" as me

ye me too, really goes to show how far they will go to protect the fishing industry and put the blame on everyone else. it was something like 50% of all plastic in the sea was made up of fishing nets and gear i think? insane. and no one is talking about it
