Okay so I'm set to start studying alongside working starting this week on wednesday. It's a long distance course with occasional real life classes/meets (about 3/month) and 2 digital classes /week. the course would take 2 years in total.
I have my job for the rest of the year, them my contract runs out, so this semester i would have to take time of (20% + additional days for the meets).
The meets are also in a city that is 6 hours away.
The more i think about it the more i dont feel like i can make it work, primarily for the 6 hours. I also do not really want to spend 2 years of my life on this. I'm still trying to get into the vet tech program and if i do get in i would have to iunterupt this education anyways.
SO here's the thing:
There is another vocational program for the same proffesion. It's 1 year long, ENTIERLY digital. It does not have live classes which might mean the education isn't as good, but also that you can plan your studies entierly how you would like which means i would not need to take any time off!
Its also costs 19k sek (1900 euros). You can also start it whenever you want.
Ive tried doing the math, and afterdeducting time off + travel costs + potential over night stays, it would cost me at least 10k. And i do have plenty of savings rn. I would also be able to use the education to get work faster to make up for it.
Is there relly any reason for me to stick with the first course option????
im gonna discuss this with my mom and i feel like she will tell me its stupid so i need some valiation in this
