over phone or in person?

If I do it over the phone he doesn't have to get on a bus (he is in a wheelchair) and I don't have to fake that nothing is wrong until thursday.

Doing it in person feels like a nicer option but then he has to get on a bus and I have to travel for 1,5h. 

I feel so awkward. We talked on the phone and he is saying how much he likes me and how he wants to move in together in the future which is why breaking up over the phone is an option. Idk if I want to show up and break up out of nowhere but it's so awkward having not saying anything only so that I can break up in person.

We are. He lives with his parents so I don't want to change the plan and do it at his place
