i havent dried food b4 but if you followed instructions that said 50c and it still got a bit burnt it might also be that your oven heats up a bit warmerhmhmhm

yeah maybe it was too long or oven got a little bit too hot hmm 
i haven't ever dried soup tho so idk, but fun idea
