Did you ever have a job you actually liked and could do for more than a couple of months?

I need to start working full time in April or I will be completely broke and starving but every time I worked my mental health degraded a lot.

i've had a lot of different jobs, but i liked being a kindergarten assistant the most
it was sensory hell tho, and i did get burnt out after some months, but that was because i traveled to a lot of different ones which stressed me
but fun

im trying to get a phone technician job rn through my stepdad, where i can sit alone and repair without talking to ppl too much
and its doing the same thing every day which would be very nice

oh also i go to a weekly autism group, and we've talked about work stuff
heres some jobs that worked for some of them:

- IT and programming (good opportunities to work from home)
- warehouse work and sorting/packing
- something to do with their special interest ( one of them works with cars, and although there are some challenges for them in the workplace, they say its worth it to work with their interest)
- customer support but only with mail, no phones

when i worked at the movie theatre for like only three days a week i was able to do that for four years. i think not working full time is gonna be key for me. i told my new job only three days a week pls.

i worked at american girl for a little over a year but the bullying by my boss got to be too much.

I remember working at the reception in a hostel for a little over 6 months and I tried so hard to be friendly but people still treated me like a freak rip.

yep ! like other ppl on thread i also worked as a barista and at a movie theater, but not full time

but rn i'm full time content writer and i get to work from home. there's def ups and downs and my boss + colleagues all probably think i'm an antisocial freak, but bc it's all online it doesn't matter that much!

truly i love working from home bc i don't have to deal with sensory issues or too much face-to-face communication, or with like. dressing professionally and weird office social rules. and i don't have to waste my time commuting. i really don't think i could do full time if i were in an office

but i also get that i'm like super super super lucky to have this job and the only reason i have it is bc my friend hooked me up
