At least moving together would be scary asf, because it’s not like you just kick them out of your house and leave them in cold
If you're in an okay financial position and have family around it's honestly not too bad I think? You can then temporarily move while you start your lives apart.
My boyfriend and I also considered this, and we decided to choose an apartment to live in, where it was possible to live as roommates if our relationship didn't work, so we had some time to find something new before breaking it off. We've been going for almost 4 years now though, so I'm not that worried about it.
I also think you see more negative relationships online than what most people actually experience. It's easy to vent online about your relationship, but most people don't share the joy and happiness they feel in their relationship as well, so you get half a picture (and probably the whole picture if it's a toxic relationship)
I mean guess yeah if can afford to move out of the apartment you both live in it’s fine but still takes time to move out and depending on how you break up would feel uncomfortable having everything you own with in reach for the other person
