finally reading again

man it is nice I forgot how NICE it is. and fast. started reading the first hp book when I went to bed last night and I've been up for half an hour reading now and I'm halfway done already fuck yea

mostly nice bc last year alone I tried to read hp at least five separate times but never got past two chapters I think, turns out medically treating ur medically treatable issues has some effect. the hp movies always seemed a bit like, sudden. like something just pops up in the next movie out of nowhere, could have been made up on the spot, reading and actually getting the little bits of later-relevant info is nice. shocker

and paperbacks are a lot cheaper than I remember?? anyway. if ur reading this (im dead) do u have any book series to recommend. in english. idk how many series aren't at least translated but still

Sounds nice !!

Paperbacks have gotten cheaper. They've realised most younger people want cheap editions.

I would really recommend A Wizard of the Earthsea. It's very beautifully written and much better than the Ghibli movie.

I would recommend other stuff, but honestly idk what you're into.

If you enjoy magic I also think A Deadly Education is nice, though the third book is majorly disappointing.

Stormlight Archive honestly gives you the best cast of well-written character's and moral dilemmas, so if you enjoy characters that would be my go to recommendation. It's a long af series though, so if you want to start with something shorter, but similar, then In the Shadow of Lightning is worth it.

The Bloodsworn Saga is also really good. I really enjoy the character's in it, but it's a little more grim in the plot. It's heavily inspired my norse mythology.

Mhhh... Maybe also Priory of the Orange Tree? It's a long long book, but is Lord of the rings-esque in the plot, but with more women and lgbt+ themes.

oh that's nice! i love when you get the passion for reading back after not reading for a while!

i'm not into series idk i never seem to keep reading, i like when a book ends hehe. but i just bought a book called "thursday mystery club" and there is 2 books so far! it's about a group of senior friends that meets up to solve mysteries and suddenly (i think) they're in one, or something like that. so i guess book nr 2 is about them aswell, but another mystery but i could be wrong..

Reading ...... I started reading tweak: growing up on methamphetamines yesterday, but I got all the way to halfway page 1 lol. Same with every book I've begun reading the last year, except a little life I managed 200 pages, but I still have 600 left so

also i finished the second hp book now, and it makes sense since theyre kids books but everything rly goes by fast. if we ignore the thing where in the movies u dont get a solid grasp on time passing, i do prefer the pacing in them a lot more, things are over and done with in the same breath in text format, im gonna have to take the next ones out from the library i think bc it takes just a few hours to read through and payday is in a week and i only own the third book left uff
