yes the politcal intrigue was the best part!!!!

it gets complicated, but each chapter has its own story ishhh
like it still has a main story, but its more digestable the way its set up

i probably wouldn't recommend  i'm just reading kids books to get back into the swing of reading because adult books felt difficult and intimidating for me!

it's fantasy with a sideplot of romance! though the sideplot becomes part of the main plot later on i'd say, but i went into it with no idea what to expect only that it was about the faerie world (which i love) and i didn't even realise it had a romance subplot until 2/3ds of the first book LOL 

ooo i can definitely imagine i started getting back into reading by reading warrior cats again!! which was fun for one book but then i got kind of bored and was ready for the real stuff hehe
