I really can't find the "inn" to any group I used to be a part of, or am trying to be a part of that isn't just ignored like an annoying little sister. I feel like I've tried everything and now all I do is complain that everything sucks (depression helps ofc).
For the books - ofc instagram has ruined itself, and the discord I'm in is also difficult to be in because you can't really treat people like friends, like on here, because everything must be politically correct and be about structural issues. I just want a space to hate on a book I disliked WITH friends who kinda agree. I don't want to have to end every opinion I have in "we have a literary crisis, so it's just good people are reading." DUDE, ALL OF US ARE READING. WE ARE NOT THE LITERARY CRISIS. WHY ARE WE ALWAYS TALKING ABOUT THE LITERARY CRISIS. (and we are bc sooo many works at a bookstore or library, with publishers, are published authors, etc.)
I just want a space to say the dumb stuff and make extremes out of things that aren't just bc i'm feeling intensely about it in that moment, and people knowing I don't mean it like that. BUT ITS IMPOSSIBLE BECAUSE NOBODY KNOWS ME and I DON'T KNOW THEM. and irl still nobody cares.
people look at you like youre a mean lil person when you say you dislike things now a day because it means you're shaming the people who like it, like NO IT JUST MEANS I DON'T LIKE IT AND IT'S A REFLECTION OF ME, NOT THEM, AND IT IS NOT A REFLECTION ON THE LITERARY CRISIS and making people read less.
