i hate it when people expect every single person who has a relation to a dog, knows every dogbreed in the world
my mom has a english setter and if i meet other dogs, im so scared theyre gonna talk to be about dog breeds, cus i dont know many, as im not too interested in that stuff.. i like knowing the dogs i personally know. not much more.
there are a lot of dog breeds. like 300 or so?????idk
and even if you know a little about a breed sometimes it can still be hard to spot them, like this woman did bc she wasn't right lol
yeah its ridiculous. its somehow an unwritten rule that once u have a dog, u must know everything about them.

i was out walking my boss' dog (cause im an intern rip) and he goes to smell this road sign. meanwhile this woman in a huge ass car drives past us and i didn't really think much of it until she took a full on tour around the entire block to come back and roll the window down just so she could yell at me. she was all "i saw your dog poop on another person's property, shame on you! you should pick it up" and i look at the ground where he had just sniffed and saw no poops so i said "no he hasn't pooped" but she was so insisting and just in her own little world telling me how bad of a dog owner i was so i said "im looking and theres no poop here". i had poop bags and everything in case he did but didn't poop plus it wasn't another person's property, it was a fucking worn down industrialistic building where no one comes and goes, it's abandoned
when i had internship at dog day care (both times) there would be people living in the area complaining about our dogs walking on the side of the road where their house was etc, as in like we had to set up a rule not to walk on a specific side of the road on a specific street it was so stupid.
and if people ever saw poop on the route we'd walk people could be calling in beign angry the day care doesn't pick up the poop with 0 proof it was US. bc like dog day cares were in the city

i actually got yelled at once when i DID let the dog poop
because it was on the sidewalk outside of a child day care
like ok let me carry poop dog out into the car road? or what tell him to stop pooping?? to hold it in?
angry lady on bike rode by like "HOW can you LET your dog POOP OUTSIDE THE DAY CARE?!?!?!"

also it feels unreal all the times i've been asked if i don't know swedish
while speaking to people in swedish ??
I think it has a bit to do with doing jobs some people think of as "beneath them"

Like my sister cleans fancy buildings occasionally and she gets asked if she speaks german alllll the time, like yeah she does????
