exactly my thougt
though to be completely honest, I think at some point it would be best to just erase all the terms and roll with "you're you and I am me and we both do whatever shit we fancy, as long as it hurts no one" and don't need the labels anymore. I mean, we're not ham in the meat counter that needs to be labelled for someone to pick us, we can just do our own thing without having to justify our feelings

like i agree on like an utopian level in a way
but at things r now it think a lot of young ppl find reassurance in finding themselves in terms and finding out that the're not the only ones to feel that way. 

but ofc i really wish this can be the case.. but i think a lot of things needs to change before that's even possible for everyone.

i myself tend to use more general terms for myself tho 
i love the norwegian term skeiv
