maybe ik biased cus the majority of my therapist experiences have been bad but considering how little most "professionals" rly understand more "serious" disorders (such as pds) if ur therapist is making u feel awful, or u think they're wrong about u, & u express this but they insist and continue to make u uncomfortable that's a bad therapist point blank
let's say hypothetically someone who did actually have npd was simply just, upset w the diagnosis & the therapist wasn't saying they're a horrible person. a good therapist would understand that the actual dx doesn't matter so much. a dx is given to help figure out a proper treatment plan. if someone isn't ready to accept a diagnosis it's not ok to force it on them. not saying the patient is always right but if the focus is You're A Narcissist n not... your actual treatment. that's a shit therapistÂ

i got diagnosed with npdok narcissism (as in npd n not an Insulting trait) does come from deep insecurity & trauma & is a real serious disorder n ppl w it r. real ppl w emotions n not just Evil n Selfish. but if ur psych is just straight up calling u (or even just implying ur) a narcissist that's so inappropriate n they're a horrible psych wtf ??Â
