between 20 and 100 pages i think it depends on the content tbh as papers in linguistics are really dense so you kinda have to read them several times to understand.. not that i do it tho but i should

If you get that many pages for each day is probably because the teacher expects the students to figure out what's important or not (:

My study is more project minded so we have around 60~80 pages we have to read but since we also have to read secondary and primary litterature (which we find ourselves) my day to day reading swings alot so it's sometimes between 60~300 pages c:

What are you going to study/ what do you study?

I didnt really read before exam period - mostly wrote down and finished the exams from previous years. Went well, around B, and it's geography & economical math. If you want to have a good habit with reading follow the lectures and what pages/chapters you need to read up for being prepared for the lecture. For me it worked to not use too much time reading and rather use few parts from the book to understand + internet.

Gotchu! law requires a lot of reading and writing, kudos for taking such important and hard field - I admire you for that.
I think it's possible to make a good study habit and stick to it. My uni and hopefully(?) all unis on blackboard use to make a lecture plan and show what chapters and/or pages requires for the day - if you can use few days to do that before lecture etc you'll be fine for exam

wasnt voluntarily, just saying. but its just like 10 weeks or so of law. and mostly like child-law, how to deal with patient/user-rights n stuff. cx

we have that. we get a "week-plan" online with the required pages to read before a lecture/seminar. but sometimes i feel they give us WAY too much, and i cant read that much before that time comes.

I see, 10 weeks flies by fast you gonna b fine!

Tbh I know, it's ALOT. I tried it few times to keep up, but in the end if it's too much u gotta compromise and jump to the most important parts. It's worth a try to challange oneself, going to do that when i study fulltime again. Gooooooood luck and may this semester be kind with u

oh god. the proposition is 20 pages long, and the online book chapter is like 25 pages. so thats 150 pages for tomorrow. and its mostly reading on the pc screen, which is SO tiring for my eyes.

this is madness.

idk what the most important parts are cx its my main struggle with this course. idk what i need to know. whats is important? its a brand new subject as well, which means we dont have ANY previous exams we can study up on, and my friend who is one year infront of me didnt have this particular course-set, since its brand new this year. so she cant help me either...

Noo boring to be the first to try out new course with no previous exams - they are so good for exams and knowing in general what to focus on. Id send a shy mail to lecturer and kindly ask few questions about the course, what to esp focus on and even be honest about finding this course hard (they wants their students to do well and usually sends v helpful answers). I believe in u

My homework when I attended uni was like 500 pages / 250-300 per. lectures. And those lectures either gave us a day in-between to catch up on the material and do notes.

I used to cut it up in portions, gave myself a break and allowed myself to go for walks.
Sometimes if it confused me, I simply marked the paragraph(s) and returned to them later to re-read them.
