I would set up a self service taco bar offering whole grain soft tortillas, blue corn tortillas, ground beef, lentil walnut meat, jarred salsa, dairy and cashew sour cream, dairy and non dairy cheddar shreds, and olives, lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, and scallions

Side dish/appetizers would be a simple leafy green salad with a balsamic vinaigrette

For desert, I would make a vegan red velvet cake using the can of soda and cake mix method and a cream cheese frosting made with kite hill. I would offer seasonal fruit throughout the party as well. Everyone would be encouraged to take home or donate food to offer hospitality and prevent waste.

Everyone loves tacos. A self-service bar would give everyone autonomy to build a meal that suits their preferences without excluding anyone. As for the cake, well it's a birthday party, and there are convenience options on the market that cater to the tastes of omnivores and vegans alike. The fruit and salad would provide further balance and variety.
Also all fruit and veg would be seasonal which is cheaper and more sustainable so uh that's responsible yeah

that is so funny, my exact answer is a taco bar lol!  mine though is

We would be making “build your own tacos”, which wouldconsist of the following mix and match ingredients: black beans, pinto beans, rice,
tortillas (steamed and fried), lettuce, chips, chopped red onions, tomatoes, and
Impossible taco meat.  Condiments such assalsa, hot sauce (red and green), guacamole, shredded cheese, and sour cream
would be available as well.

basdically that i'm just eating for dinner tonight haha

and i'm in the extension program so it's a little easier to get in, in my opinion everyone should look into it if they want to get a degree.

what about a normal dish but everything is sorted separately (like spaghetti bolognese but they are both separate lmao) ? if the vegetarian for example doesn't want to eat the meat, they could pass it to the butcher before everyone starts eating the meal.. I'm honestly tripping u guys

I was thinking a pasta cuz it's a meal everyone loves and the one thing ppl dont tend to mind if its meat free

Alternatively a sandwich bar would work, but tacos are just easier and cheaper in this scenario

pita, veggies and hummus for the appetizers, broccoli soup, any salad, a vegetable stir fry for the main course, any vegan cake for dessert. lots of veggies so i don't have to use meat substitutes
