wacom used to have monopoly since they were the only producers but times have changed and off brands are producing better tablets for a better price,

if you compare wacoms budget tablet ($400) that they are selling because they have to, it doesnt compare to what you can get on the market from off brand companies for the same price, their screen isnt even laminated on that version

it says a lot and yeah
wacom cintiq and their expensive tier tablets are for professional animators and illustrators that use it religiously imo

All I can say from that experience is that u don’t really need a big tablet, you’ll get used to it anyway and u can still make ur paintings big so 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

it has to do with rendering it in the size you want it displayed, like if u suddenly decide to make a really big drawing ur gonna be limited by the size of the screen
