well not really, like there's always a market for art and even though it might seem like it's more plausible for a single artist to thrive in a capitalist culture it might... not? like however good you are in your field you may not ever get out there with your work even if it's a free market??

on a serious note, everyone consumes media, if you've designed for this website people are consuming your work, and during the pandemic art consumption has only increased proving that art and artists are extremely valuable to our society. 
if human beings didn't have to struggle under capitalism to meet their needs artists wouldn't have to worry about selling their art to make ends meet, and I know I personally would feel more free to create art if I wasn't constantly worried about monetizing it.

i realize u said "stop being created" and thats a big leap from having it as an occupation, like obviously you can draw a picture people drew pictures before they invented politics but how would having it as a job work
