How do you cope with anxiety?
Account deleted

Exercising regularly. It helps clear my mind and give me more space when I need it. And ye it doesn't rly work too much directly. It can help calm me down and refocus, but it's more a longterm preventative for me and help me keep it down over time so i can get to a better headspace. And I guess, facing my triggers totally have reduced them over time even tho it meant i was an absolute mess for a long time and still is when it get overwhelmed. So working on a balance between things that fuck me up and enough breaks to recharge.

I don't have work tho it's something that makes me nervous too bc i know i don't have the emotional budged for a full day of stuff and ppl, less a week atm. Like ye i am just trying to get through my studies rn hopeing for some work that aint too pply and intense in the future. But i don't think that far either rly.

That's really nice. I had a few people from high school that seemed to understand me. Unfortunately don't have much contact with them anymore I'm hoping things will eventually change though. Meeting people, and in general making friends has never been easy for me.
Hopefully, you'll be able to find more people who understand you at some point I was never good at making friends either. I had one friend until I started uni and moved to another part of the country. I had to make new friends so I wouldn't be completely alone.

My dog's breeder was originally gonna keep him to compete in dog shows but she got a better puppy and decided to sell him to a family. He didn't get along with the family's kid or father (he probably wasn't socialized by the breeder), so they sold him to me. He still doesn't let anyone else touch him but me and barks at everyone near my apartment building
Aw, poor guy. Have you've tried training or getting trained by someone?

I can relate on the work part totally. I think it's best for you just to worry for now on your studies that way you don't get yourself too burned out and stressed. Maybe towards the end of your studies start then thinking about what you wanna do or maybe you in general don't have to put much thought to it. Maybe it'll come natural to you on what you wanna do. Before that time comes, try to balance yourself out more who knows you'll problemly think differently about the work situation. Is their like a specific type of work your looking for like something you like but at the same time doesn't require dealing with too much people?

Same. I'm prone to freaking out over the littlest of things, I try to avoid it but somehow life always got something to throw.

Idk, it's not really a regular problem for me, and I mostly have very physical symptoms (fucked up stomach mostly). I don't really have any particular way of coping with it, I just continue doing what I normally do when I get a bout of anxiety.

idk i just convinced myself that my anxiety was not based on something real and that i should just ignore it and i just got over it but then i realized that it was in fact very real and now im somewhere in between

He apparently had training with the previous owners.. He's just slow at getting to trust people. I've been meaning to have my friend get to know him, so he could learn to trust men more. It's a slow process but maybe some day he'll let at least someone else pet him.

simply put... i don't. i've been declared ineligible for work/study by my doctor, and my only income is early/temporary pension for disabled people. i cannot function without my medication. i've been like this since i was around 13-14 years old, and i'm now 24, so if there's something positive to make out of this, then if you've survived longer then you might just avoid my fate. i really hope you do.
