too young for vp?

i wouldn't worry about online ppl too much, there's always gonna be someone who will try to bring you down or disagree with you
i know it's hard to, but it is best to just ignore them and don't get worked up over their stupid comments

as long as you are comfortable then that's fine - though there are obvious stigmas towards minors hanging out with adults. block any gross people you come across

I joined a similar forum, goSupermodel, when I was barely 10. no lasting harm from that.

as far as I know, the average VP player is 18+? but as long as you're not uncomfortable being here, I can't see how that should be an issue. but it's probably a good thing if you wait with the mature record label for another couple of years, as somebody already pointed out.
to argue this,
gsm was created specifically for young teens and everyone playing was young teens\kids practically. also, it was an only-girls space.
it had good and professional moderation and admin
it was not an era where people did politics of anything every second, etc. and it turned shitty
or overshared our fucked up life situations.

so, practically,
having been on gsm from nearly start to end i got zero harm
having been on vp less than a month, i was about to hard quit but i suck at that so i failed obvi but it was bad for my brain; now  i manage

most people on gsm were very young though, and most people here are 18+ (because we're the people who grew up on gsm and now we're adults lol), being online isn't necessarily harming, but being a kid in a space with mostly adults can be

not saying minors can't be here it's just. something to be aware of.

It's totally fine if your underage but the type of things people talk here can be a bit.. well. traumatizing for younger players
This community is toxic so please don't take things to heart
People will make comments about your age but just try to ignore them
And if it feels like the people here are getting to you, just leave
Don't waste your time here

Anyhow, welcome to VP : D
I don't think we are toxic per se, at least not compared to other communities, but we expect to talk to other adults in the forums and that may be a not so great experience for younger players.
I have seen an 11yo recently and I thought 'why are you here wtf'
Oh we are a toxic community for sure no doubt about that
But yea I get your point
3 years ago maybe, but now? Are we even active enough to be toxic?

Also this,
please don't feel bad for the age you are. It's perfectly fine, just stay aware that you ventured into a game where you are a minority and one in a more vulnerable position than most of us. We are most likely not going to cater to your needs, so you got to put those boundaries and considerations up for yourself. (This really goes for everyone here because of our level of potentially toxic content.)

Seek out people closer to your own age (more likely to have similar life situations and probably interests, if I will be that bold), or people you think you really can trust. It's nothing bad about having older friends on here. We can probably help you out with a lot, if that's needed, and most ppl who's been here a while know how the game works too. Consider which topics you go into, and what you share, and know that you can leave them or state that you're uncomfortable in what they are changing into fx., at any time. if someone is just shitty with u 24\7 you can contact the mods and get them banned from your topics.

otherwise,
have fun! if you can find it. since we're fairly boring.
