When I was younger being braless or not shaving was treated as an act of rebellion and activism whereas now, as an adult, it's just a thing we do, we don't really talk about it, we're all on the same page and don't preach to the choir. 

so perhaps its an age thing

I didn't shave for like ten years and I am very hairy
I bought an epilator recently and defuzzed my legs just to see if the hair will come back a little less dense lol
