i'm off some weekdays but rarely weekends, he works monday thru friday and needs the car to get there

well moving there has been a choice you have made. i don't have problem with being bored at home, because i'm never bored at home so i don't know what to say. you can have lot of hobbies that doesn't even include leaving home, you just have to find your passion i guess
yeah let's not discuss me and hobbies lmao
i have none, never have, might not ever have if i'm unlucky... meh. idk. might be genetic, my mom never had hobbies either.

Would it be negligence to just block it out because that's what I'd do but whenever I was nagging my parents as a child I just wanted attention so hmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I think it depends on the situation and to what extent, right? God, I know nothing about child rearing! My only experience comes from helping out with my little siblings. I know my mom would be considered a bad mom if all those 80s and 90s moms knew what she did - but she wasn't. She was great. Sure, she'd ignore our nagging at times, who wouldn't? She'd send us to bed early if we behaved real bad, and on some occasions she would exclaim "alright, i'm quitting my job as a mom and moving out!" before going out for a smoke, but it never hurt us. I wouldn't do it myself, but people think too much. I'm doing fine. As long as they're mostly good and the kids trust em, there's no harm in fucking up every once in a while as long as you don't make your threats reality or hit them or anything like that.
