if i didnt have sugar for a month i would literally die
it is quite challenging yes and its the third time im doing it i honestly thought it would get easier with time. but ive also been sick the whole month so far its just no fun that way
It usually takes about a month to stop the sugar craving so if ur just doing it for a month then going back it’s always gonna be hard
hmm i feel at the end of the month my sugar cravings has gone down a lot and i feel satisfied after eating less sweets so for me its like a "reset" and it works. after a few months it will start to increase again which is ok but that why i do this twice a year🤡

i have cheated but not lost💪🏻even though i have had weak moments i have still decreased my sugar intake by a lot and that is the goal here

stuff like that is dumb anyways, leads to nothing to just consume no sugar at all for one month then going back to consuming it like before, just regulate yourself and learn how to eat intuitively

food should not be treated like a challenge, it is fucked up how normalised it is

this is something that works for me and i dont do it in an unhealthy way. i still eat cake on birthdays or other celebrations doing the month. and yea i cheat sometimes but its ok and i dont beat myself up about it. maybe i should call it less sugar month instead bc the goal is not to consume absolutely zero sugar, but more to like get rid of the habbit of eating chocolate every evening and getting cake weekly. this is just a method i have found to be good for me

yeah that sounds good to be honest, not an unhealthy way to think about it i think. i wouldnt call it cheating though, rather just satisfying yourself - less sugar month sounds better imo. everything that works for you personally is good. i dislike diets and "challenges" that tells you to restrict certain foods for a relatively short period of time - stuff that only leads to cravings and does nothing to your overall diet in the long run

Eating less or no sugar/carbs help with removing the cravings tho, but the ppl that just eat like before afterwards there is no point, but if the point is to remove cravings long term its good

that is true - eating less is the key though, learning to regulate yourself (even if that means denying yourself stuff when you crave it - in the beginning) and teaching your body to not crave sugar every day - i dont believe in 100% restriction, since it tends to lead to binging. intuitive eating should be the goal, you dont want to be stuck in diet hell forever
