They are fairly acceptable for fems changing main to male though, i have been there myself. I just think the fear is that fem's buy these items and stack them away in wardrobes, never to be seen or sold again. Which i feel like makes sense. 

You are allowed to do it though, nothing has to be stopping you, just wanted to tell you.

Items might be cheaper, but males don't easily give up on their items. At least when I was male we would rather trade. 
Changing the Avi itself is easy, but that's really it.
