The pattern of escalating the threat and means by the season and this one is very "it's gonna be epic" in the way an idea is offered to one of the characters. Also the russian subplot and the stress of the basketball dudes being idiots and the basket friend struggling w trying to be pop or not like... I AM OVERWHELMED BUT SOMEHOW THESE WILL TIE TOGETHER FOR SURE IN SOME GRAND EPIC FINALE
I was too occupied wondering why jamie campbell bower was playing that flat character until the last episode and like... It then it made sense bc he's just fetching relstively small, but crucial roles in popular franchises and well it happened again, and somehow i should have expected typ 2 of the plot twists but i was a) to occupied looking at him and b) having some weird ass the mortal instruments vibe coming over me from the upside down dimentionÂ

I havent digested the origin story yet like at least it didn't make for a terrible cliffhanger like it was okay it is on break there
