Do you have a recipe for lentil balls? it sounds really good.

I'm considering whether I should make baked courgettes, potato pancakes or turkeycourgette meatballs (with pork instead of turkey, because they didn't have turkey in any of the supermarkets) today.

sure! i will translate it for you

ingredients:
1 water glass of red lentil (in turkey ingredients are calculated with water glass)
1,5 glass bulgur
1 onion (white preferably)
some scallions
a bundle of parsley
2-3 tablespoons of olive oil (literal table spoons not like things americans use)
2 table spoon tomato paste (turkish name salça. regular tomatoes or blended ones wont work)
3 glasses of water
enough salt
cumin
ground pepper
black pepperr
ground, dried mint
LEMON
Lettuce

wash the lentils and put them in a pot with water. boil until it is soft.
after it absorbs some of the water, add bulgur in it and close the lid. let it rest for 30 mins.
get a pot. fry the thinly chopped onion in oil. add tomato paste once it is fully cooked. cook 1-2 mins more.you can also add 1-2 garlic for taste. most recipees wont call for it put i like it. (cook the onions well bc i feel disgusted when i eat hard onions, but that is my taste tbh)
add onions to the lentil. once it is cold enough so it does not burn your hands, knead it with your hands.
add the spices and keep kneading.
add thinly chopped parsley and scallions.
knead well.
now it is ready, you should give them shape like balls or any shape you want.
you should eat them by making them a burrito in lettuce! add some lemon on top for taste.
and while you are deep in Turkish cuisine, don't forget to make black tea n drink while u eat! absolute feast.
