I think most people r good even tho its illegal, they don't care about 1 person downloading 1 movie lol, its more so the people that host the sites or are big uploaders, but even then they don't do much anymore I think

u don't lol, there's always a risk when u download stuff from shady and especially illegal (torrenting, free downloads for programs that would normally cost money) sites. it's a gamble honestly and u gotta do research + up ur security especially if u do it often

u don't usually have to worry abt it being illegal per se, but rather with what cute little trojans they might come packed with. u should always scan the files with a malware removal program before even unzipping them, and probably once more after just for extra safety. the same malware removal program might try to stop you from running the file regardless if it's an .exe file because it can usually tell it's not legit, though sometimes there are false flags (aka the file might b good to go but ur malware removal program doesn't recognize it), but as a thumb rule - don't download files from shady sites unless u know what u r getting urself into
