Yeah im thinking so too maybe, I know its thin there but its usually not this thin looking, but I have pics that look similar to your pic too from when I had black hair and I had a little bit of light brown roots, so it might just be the roots thats messing with me now too

Idk I have a lot of hair, its just like,,, the sides on top of my forehead is very thin if that makes sense, looks fine when its down but when its pinned back its like a bald spot, even if its hair there they are lighter than the rest of my hair? And thinner and shorter, so idk if the problem is that im losing hair
