And also, the soundtrack and -effects in several of the episodes were uncanny, it sent shivers down my spine ngl, even now as an adult.. like, whenever something ‘bad’ were happening, there always were this awful atmosphere. But still I’ve always loved moomin, and it’s still one of my all time favourites haha (now I’m collecting the mugs/cups or what they’re called)

One that straight up traumatized me was
Grizzly Tales for Gruesome Kids (I didn’t really want to watch it, but whenever it popped up on the TV my eyes were like glued to the screen) :’c

I had Russian childhood cartoons mostly lmao
though I barely remember the names I'll be honest, they were so well made
I know nothing about Russian animation but I'll take your word for it

American animation had some great stuff but it also pumped out a bunch of cheap shitty shlock too, I know when I grew up shitty ren and stimpy knock offs were all the rage lol

Also 80s American cartoons were mostly toy commercials lol

I was past the target demographic when it aired but my sister is 9 years younger than me and loved it so I had to endure it

I remember being a teenager at like 1 am and watching this with my ex once when it was on while flipping thru channels

We were stoned outta our minds so we laughed our asses off, still the only time in my life I ever enjoyed watching oobi

Catdog, it's a shitty bootleg ren and stimpy

If it was about a pair of conjoined twins supporting each other in a society that oppresses them it would of been fine but the two are constantly harassing each other so it's just miserable

Loved it as a kid cuz I liked the premise of conjoined animal twins but looking back the execution was crap
