also, what are you doing this fine evening Sylvan?
watching tv.

I gave up on my aspirations to submit my thesis till the end of this semester so now I'm back to writing half a page per day and feels like a weight off my shoulders.

why do people put so much aspiration to classics?
(the story was ok, I was mostly suffering because I read it in French)
I think classics is a weird size in general, but they're good for understanding popular culture and other fiction to some degree.
exactly
but the way we pretend like they are the best thing to happen to literature then. now and ever ... bit shortsighted and also very elitist

well happy to know I'm not the only one who didn't enjoy the book :d

uhh, nice, what are you watching? (I'm nosy, sorry)

Okay, that does sound amazing. there's nothing worse then stressing because of work one creates for oneself. health first, especially since it doesn't change much to submit a bit later

I'm watching the new episode of Star Trek Picard. It's not very good imo but I'm too invested in the characters to stop watching sad

At least there's a fun mean guy with a tragic backstory.

all that counts!
(I never got into Star Trek and I feel if I ever will, I will fall victim to another fandom that takes me hostage, can't afford that to happen)

Honestly, as much as I love Star Trek, it is a hell of a franchise to join. But I enjoy how there is a little corner in the fandom for every kind of person.

I watched my first episode when I was like 5 years old and started watching it on a regular basis when I was 10 and watched everything except the animated series and prodigy and still feel like a noob haha
