In general I also think of insects in my food as "bad" which is part of the reason why I have such a problem with kale because there's always worms in it from the supermarket.

If I was fed insects I don't think I would mind, as long as I wasn't made aware of it ?? Like with the candy example you've given. In general I don't mind some weird stuff if I don't think too closely about how the food is made.
