Well, presently women's right to vote is up for debate,

Anyone who has changed their name for any reason is being deported if they've done or said anything that the administration doesnt like. This includes changing your name for marriage, gender care, adoption, immigration, etc.

The working class's taxes are going up astronomically (Trumps bill proposes that people who make under 15,000 a year will see a 74% tax increase by the end of his presidency) while the top 1%(the billionaires, Trump, Musk, etc.) will stop paying taxes entirely

Oh and the deportation prison trump is sending anyone he deems "invalid", has been at max capacity for years and he is deporting people by the thousands there

Oh and in the midst of this The president signed over every Americans information to a made up division named after crypto currency (DOGE)
WHICH has access to our phones, computers, internet, even what app, which boasts security, is monitored by the American government
what the hell. i feel so, so bad for all americans out there. this doesnt even sound real. can you enlighten me on the first one? how tf can this even be up for debate????
"In the United States we are seeing rollbacks to women’s rights. The first Trump presidency was bad for reproductive rights, and one month in, Donald Trump’s second term is even more troubling for women. Not only are there large swaths of the country where women and girls don’t have access to abortion care, but Trump has also signaled his disregard for women’s safety by pardoning people convicted of physically blocking or threatening violence against patients at reproductive health clinics.
Trump’s views on what he calls “gender ideology,” a term long used by opponents of women’s and lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) rights, is based on a denial of the right to autonomy. The new administration has also sought to redefine sex as strictly male or female and fixed at birth, jeopardizing access to education, healthcare, and other federally funded services for transgender women and girls.
Additionally, the Trump administration’s attacks against diversity, equity, and inclusion [DEI] for women in the workplace will be particularly harmful for Black, Latina, and Indigenous women. The administration is also trying to bring its ideological crusade against DEI to the United Nations and its agencies, demanding that they follow the Trump administration’s example. But giving into these demands would undermine the rights of women, girls, and LGBT people around the world."

Edit: summary of above: trump is removing medical abortions and Healthcare, and has made it a crime for doctors to perform those services.

He is trying to ban trans from existing, official documents only recognize the "LGB" community IF it gets any recognition at all. Because there are "only two genders" which would be the one you were assigned at birth

Here's is the full link to that article, which covers more than just america, it mentions many other countries and their progress too

I feel bad for those usamericans who tried to avoid having Trump again
personally I only have one relative living there, who sadly voted for him (even though she is a latino immigrant lmao) and things aren't going great in general, to say the least

hopefully something big happens and ends with his presidency

THE AMOUNT OF IMMIGRANTS WHO VOTED FOR HIM IS APPALLING
Especially women, he has never made it subtle that he believes men to be superior

it's not really that strange, especially for those who are latin american. in my case, and from what I've seen and talked with friends from different latin american countries (other than mine), we all have a really strong conservative tendency, which has been increasing more and more recently. in my country (peru), there's a strong belief that other latin americans (especially venezuelans and hondurans) are criminals and such, and that belief is not exclusive to latin americans living in latin american countries; it goes with them to other places, such as the USA, where latin americans are also portrayed as criminals.

those who think of themselves as "better immigrants" tend to forget that they are, in fact, also seen as criminals for being immigrants and latin americans, therefore they also tend to vote for those who are "anti immigrant" who allegedly want to fight for the supposed "safety of good people"

for example, my cousin living in the USA and my mom, living here in spain, who is also pretty anti-immigrant although she's an immigrant herself

Thats a good point, sometimes when the picture gets so large it gets hard to see that you're also in the painting yourself

unfortunately every country rn takes a massive right wing approach (probably also bcs of US influence) but i honestly think that a lot of it has to do with modern social media propaganda. Just look at the most famous streamers rn. They are raising the current generation but most of them are misogynistic and spread right wing rhetoric. Its an extremely male centered space... combine that with lack of education + frustration in society caused by the government (both democratic and conservative parties) and you will get the problems we all currently face. Tragic
