i think the problem here is i wouldnt use any? i think id be more likely to use the name of the reptile rather than reptile.. but i guess i would use denne rather than dette?

isnt en utrum, thats called felleskjønn in norwegian, as in feminine and masculine combined
and ett is neuter?
