I must admit that while i myself have pretty much no interaction with the community i’ve gotten the same impression.. no idea about lesbians but gay community seems really white and skinny + pretty rough lifestyle with booze, drugs and partying.

i kind of live in my own gay bubble, i have lgbtq friends and they are so... regular... just normal people living their lives. Not all of our friends are gay, we go to school and work and some have families etc. It’s so different from the world i see in social media. A lot less glitter and toxicity..

both yes and no. i’m a woman liking woman that has grown up in a christian family, two different churches and a christian private school.. and i’ve gotten trough it with only a lil bit of trouble, but a lot of internalized homophobia for a while. I feel like I’m trough it now tho.. and i hope my parents get 100% comfortable with it soon. They’re trying tho.

I’m lucky and have a good group of non-toxic queer ppl around me without really interacting with the “lgbtq+” community per say

but i have noticed that there’s a lot of pressure on gay/bi or queer men about body and and jokes about tops/bottoms and some of it seems v toxic to me.. like there’s not just a few ways to be gay, we should all just be ourselves not based ond groups or stereotypes if that makes sense

i’m sad u have already experienced things like that

i know there’s a lot of questionable things happening in the queer community where i live as well, but I’m not really a part of that community.. and i’m not sure i want to tbh

no one has to fall to some stereotype to be valid or gay enough or shit like that
these are so hard and complicated things, no one is like another i think

like how ur personal style is or how u act does not determine what u like doing during sex can it stop pls

Idk maybe there’s something to a lot of queers just trying to fit in somewhere so they tend to fall into stereotypes to feel valid. But in reality we’re all just v different human beings with a similar experience
