She nearly went to a facility voluntarily that night but refused because she is afraid of saliva covid tests. She said she would take a cotton swab test which this facility offers. I want her to go there because a psychiatric evaluation is mandatory for admission

Tbh I would rather a homicidal or suicidal person be admited before my mom but she isnt stable enough to make decisions 

Her psychiatrist set her up with a zoom appointment for a case worker but her mind races too much to understand zoom atm 

Its crazy how much covid has complicated this. Being two hours away also does not help 

I'm sorry you had to go through that but I'm glad stuff worked out for you in the end. It really is harder than it should be

they took my mom off of all her psych and depression meds last week
they think she may have just had a bad episode due to stress, chemotherapy, and all the meds and steroids she's on bc of the cancer
she seems to be totally fine off the meds so far
thankfully my grandma has the numbers to the right hotlines if something happens again

they think she may have just had a bad episode due to stress, chemotherapy, and all the meds and steroids she's on bc of the cancer
she seems to be totally fine off the meds so far
thankfully my grandma has the numbers to the right hotlines if something happens again
): what kind of cancer? Glad she is well currently 

One nice thing about this experience is I did learn I can call a crisis unit instead of the cops if my mom goes off the rails. Hopefully I can get a proper diagnosis, that is really key for future slips
