yeah its v frustrating to even talk about because obviously doctors are important and its hard to become one so whenever u try to tell people nurses n doctors pays need to be more equal they flip out because omg the doctor spent like 10 years in medical school wääwää

I didn't even give her the context of me calling my old doctor for the first time in 2021, where the secretary asked me which one of the doctors I actually wanted as my regular ("do you want a woman or a man?";), even though they had been my doctor since 2018 (and added quite a few consultations between 2018-2021). My first phone call was also such a bad experience that I started crying and never called them again, and there's quite a few consultations up until I moved, where I know I didn't use them.

Doctors are important! Which is why no one are recommending docking their pay to get more money for nurses.
A doctor might've spend a ton of time in school, but that doesn't necessarily mean they're worth more honestly. A doctor getting bad grades due to slack is still doctor, just like a nurse who gets top grades in school is still a nurse.
