my friend was called the schiozo-whisperer when she worked in the rehab.
she would play into the delusions (which can be kinda dangerous, but once she's medicated she'll understand)
stuff like
"I can't the government is watching me"
and she'd be like, "right? I know! that's why we gotta go over here away from the windows"

I found out I can call the crisis intervention unit instead of the police at least 

But yeah idk why cops deal with mental illness cases. Junkies and people in psychosis dont trust the police lol, and they're not really trained to deal with mental illness anyway

even if you have to go involuntary, that at least forces the court to hold her for a few days.

when I had mom committed, what helped having it involuntary, was no matter how much she tried to guilt me, I couldn't go get her even if i wanted to - I am weak and needed that
