I mean she IS getting paid for this month and it is only the beginning of it so it is kind of like a month's notice
I applaud your patience talking to brick and mortar, though to be fair, my walls never reply to me, so no wonder I don't have tha patience for it
honestly, I understand that the dutch users are furious, but also ... maybe not the right way to go at it?
but most of all I love the "I don't want to pay for something; if others have to pay for it, then it's just poor leadership and I shouldn't be made responsible for refusing to pay for what I use, because cearly it is my given right to not have to pay for things and expect others to cover my costs as well".
I mean, come on, with that attitude, the server wouldn't survive the end of this year either way, so why is anyone of the dutch surprised this process may now get sped up? I hope it doesn't because that would just suck for all the achievements people had, and yet ... this was kinda the deal when signing up to VP? like ... can we really be mad if parts of the game have to close down because they aren't doing well enough financially and some parts of the userbase refuse to take responsibility for this? (which we kinda have to, considering we have to pay for upkeep if we want to play. this is pure maths ... people being so damn spoiled with paying without noticing it that they think stuff online is genuinely free...)
I have 2 reasons for that really
reason number 1 being that I remember that language barriers, even when the 2 sides have some fluency in a common language, can create misunderstandings, therefore we should be patient when we can and the explanation can be the thing that fixes the misunderstanding
sometimes it works
sometimes it doesn't
other thing is that people really do not understand how servers work, server costs are, and how normal laws of resigning and being fired works
besides that I agree 100% with all the rest that you've said, couldn't have said it better
I understand it tho and I see how the process works lol. The most of the Dutch users just don't want to spend money on a website if they don't get anything in return while that is promised.
