I agree, it's not about the religion of the Israeli people but rather the actions the Israeli government and military are guilty of doing - it's a challenging debate in that sense as people insist on making it about religion. I've observed people claiming that those who criticise Israel for literally anything is [derogatory terms about loving/liking/etc. Muslims] and it's like bro what??? It's disappointing.

In Norway it's pretty much either you don't give a flying fuck about what's happening there, or you are incredibly pro Israel like it is some kind of cult, or the same for pro Palestine - although there are of course nuances. My general observation is that those who defend the actions of the Israeli government and military tend to be a bit.. mmm yikes?? I would say, whereas there are some more nuances to the pro Palestine side, especially as (most?) of them support the idea of the two-state idea proposed by UN back in the late 40s, rather than being like erase what we don't like, the entire area is Palestine only.
