No but my dad is a doctor (I know, that sounds really childish, here's me lampshading y'all) and he wouldn't let me take hormones if there were any known incredibly harmful side effects, if that amounts to anything in your eyes.
what kind of doctor? (not discrediting your dad tho just curious)
Obstetrician, so he knows some shit about female hormones. Not so much male hormones but still.
ah interesting, there are not many male doctors in that area

anyways i feel like the idea of transgenderism is just extremely complex and no one and even trans people themselves are not fit to discuss it as if what they're saying is factual gudnight

I think part of the problem tho is a lot of these drugs are fairly new or newly being used in this way so we really don’t know a hundred percent the effects in the future. I know one example is The drug lupron is used for blocking female pUeberty and there is actual evidence of this drug causing bone loss.

i actually translated that shit and the 6000 people who died were not trans kids but people who took the medication for prostate cancer and the medication is not hormones but hormone blockers and this site claims that 11 trans kids died but i see no links to a scientific journal that can support these claims
I don't get how you take an article about trans kids and translate it to prostate cancer.

it's in the second paragraph i think (my translation extension shifted the spaces a bitso idk), it talks about the medication and it's uses

i am not saying that it's completely harmless but if you have a suicidal teen who freaks out bc of dysphoria it may be a valuable tool.
trans acceptance can lead to more research to make these medication safer, all trans ppl and allies want that and no one wants to have side effects but the pros outweight the cons for many trans people who suffer from bad dysphoria.
Can I just say, you're so incredibly logical and respectful in the way you debate, I really admire that and respect that about you.

+ the popular hormones pushed forwards are never "enough". like there are multiple female hormons that each have their purpose and function in the body.

Yes, I re-read and explained what they said about its uses on prostate cancer, but your translator got it wrong

Perhaps because I don't really find it safe for a kid to take hormones (as a kid, you're going through different phases and I find it ridiculous to try to give the kid hormones when you don't really know if they may feel the same way in a few years. + you can not really reverse most effects, which could worsen the situation).
What I find understandable is that you start giving them hormones when they've been through puberty and are now perhaps even adults and can take a decision and understand the risks.
I believe that they should get a (severe? I don't know how to describe it) therapy to treat the dysphoria while the kid keeps growing and understanding different concepts before taking anything.
Let the kid dress and express how they want first and see if they're actually just GNC kids. If not, then hormone treatment
