Lol I used to think of that line when I was drinking alone in a dirty hotel room I used to live in. That was a very depressing time. I thought about killing myself every day but I wasnt suicidal because I believed the future would give me a light if I stuck it out. Idk if that even makes sense.

I remember those days well. I was getting drunk, laying in a bed of trash and chain smoking and putting the cigs our on myself while I listened to the beer by kimya dawson, here's where the story ends by the sundays and a bunch of the Smith's songs. During this I would cut myself and bleed on my pants and sheets, but I didnt fucking care. 

I went thru a bad break up and I was so embarrassed to be 23 and still self harming. My neighbor pulled me out of it, and I gained weight even (I was 112 lbs and I'm like 5'5/5'6. Was too stressed to eat tbh) and just felt so relieved. I mean he was a narcissist alcoholic who got violent with me and hurt my friend in the end but you know what, idk where the hell I'd be w/o him 

It bothers me that kimya dawson is written off as effortless, gimmicky twee, I mean so she cant sing or play guitar but shes an excellent lyricist and so sincere and relatable. Her songs really are special to me, got me thru ruff shit
