I could write every sentence starting with I. I don't have any issues with that. I think the only issue with that is that I prefer that my language is less artificial than this is. I don't find it egocentric. 
It's at least self-centered. Like I could write around it, remove myself from the conversation and just ask about the other person, be less me-perspective in how I asked questions, but who have time for that.
