Knitting & crochet

Anyway, I'm bumping this thread because I just finished knitting the back panel of a sweater pattern that I'm converting into a cardigan because I'm a madlad. Thing is, I'm not completely sure what I'm doing when it comes to the two front panels. My plan is to halve the number of stitches for the back and subtract maybe 2 off each half to leave room for a button band. I think the biggest hurdle is gonna be the decreases though; I want it to be a v neck but the pattern I'm following is a crew neck so I might have to look for a v neck pattern to learn how the decreases are made. If anyone has any tips I would highly appreciate it.

Ohhh that's a nice looking sweater. I'm not usually a fan of crocheted garments but that one's cute. I found this one the other day and thought of you

Ravelry is great for that sort of stuff, if you didn't know. You can favourite things and add them to your queue and when you're working on a project you can easily keep track of it.

Oh it's cotton, I feel like crocheting with cotton would make it a bit stiff, no? I don't know, I guess it depends on how much of a blend  it is and other factors. When I crocheted with a cotton acrylic blend it was supper stiff so the drape was weird but I think the weight of the yarn was also pretty thick. I guess it just depends.

hmm idk maybe its a bit stiff but i think the stitch im using is helping it to be less stiff? i dont think its bad tbh
