I think you have to take a stance, but it has to be informed. You don't have to agree with a side in politics but you absolutely need to know what you personally think is right, we simply cannot have a bunch of people going around in society without any opinions on how things should be because we won't get anywhere in such a society.

well i mean, they did okay against USSR considering how all the other countries in similar "roles" (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania) was incorporated into USSR until the end of that "union", while Finland remained independent. Other than that.. hmmm
