agreed, it's so interesting to learn abt ur family history 
like the only reason i live in the netherlands & not in ghana is bc my great-great grandfather in like 1700 was a slave & his owners moved to the netherlands and he had to come with

nah, more like because there are some people (funnily enough it's the ones who started the smear campaign against me, it still feels very much like they just had me as a project) are out to be like "eugh, Masilein stuff, don't wear it", especially when I did so many hairstyles for poc because people kept asking for it

and that's not a family history exclusive to one place
and there are other reasons as to why some ancestors up and left their country and origin or got shipped away and taken their life
I feel like in Europe, because of what you'd call the "European spirit", many people question their origins and lives a lot more on a personal level and don't question that of others as much as they for instance do in the US
don't get me wrong, issues like xenophobia are big everywhere, but it's kind of "differently flavoured"? because it has other backgrounds and comes from different conflicts because the countries, cultures and evidently people and family lines are so much older for many people who live in Europe compared to those that came to the US during the 15th century and up

but ... it's something that has been in the making for a couple of months and those accusing me of being a vile person where those that had started rumours "proven" by screenshots out of context (like not even showing what the context was, just going in "yeah, them clearly means these people and not the ones I was quoting";) and without any malice in them and you're just there ... damn, you really took out days of your life to make me look bad to feel accomplished? kinda have to respect the dedication
(I still cried when they banned me and had a panic attack, but that's just because I don't do well with emotional pressure)
