I personally dislike the idea that people make Pride a party. Like, yes, it's really good for us LGBT people to see that there are many things that are better for us now than it was 20 years ago, and that's something we should be celebrating and also be grateful to those who started riots and protests for our rights. But I believe we should also keep protesting for those in countries where they get killed because of their sexual attraction.
If someone really wants to help other LGBT people who are in danger of getting murdered or discriminated or abused, we should stop and think about how to really help them, not just see a rainbow t-shirt and think that (unless the money you pay for it, goes to actual LGBT help-centers, for example) it's going to help anyone. It's nice, it's okay, it's your money but perhaps be more thoughtful
