The crisis in real estate, people not being able to buy a house or even flat on a normal salary not even in very very rural areas
Actually true, rent is so high here that my salary rn isn't livable.
I get so mad when I think about how my parents could afford to build a house at 24 and people working the same jobs they did can maybe afford a 60 square meter apartment now if they rent together
ye if I could even get 3-4 roommates I wouldn't have much left per month bc I make $9.60/hr.
I've had a lot of issues with my job though. They raised the starting pay to $10/hr and my manager confirmed that yet every damn time I go to HR about it "That's for more experienced people."

Damn, that's minimum salary here, if you have qualification you really should get more (but also people without qualifications should be able to have a living wage)

old moldy apartments cost at least 500€ rent to live in the city.

$10/hr is child's pay now & my store hires just about anybody they don't care about experience.
I've worked there for 2 years, idk how that isn't "experienced" to them. It feels like a joke working there.
(This is a grocery store btw, I work in a kitchen within the store so it's considered a department ig)

Sorry I'm kinda turning this into a rant bc I'm so irritated by this constant back and forth with them. I've been applying for other jobs, but haven't gotten a response yet.

Oof that sucks! If you have been there for 2 years they should really start paying you more

i think people should pay more attention to the effects of fraværsregelen on mental health. i mean yeah, i guess the numbers are looking better when you're looking for high school drop outs, but at what cost. i don't think teens need that much extra pressure at that time in their lives.

tourists provide a lot of individuals money, without them a lot of jobs would be lost
This. If the tourists just vanish from the places who depend on tourism a lot of people are going to lose their income which would also be a problem.

this is like peak capitalism argument dawg

fuck are we going to do with jobs when people literally move away to escape the hell that is mass tourism, besides when something smells like money it will attract rich investors like sharks, buying the properties and selling them for more expensive to people who want vacation houses, which results in the house market prices stagnating for the normal people who actually want to live here

Well, I don't agree. People losing their jobs is a huge problem since most countries don't have the same welfare system as we do. I don't think you'll have to be a big brainer to figure out which problems that can lead to.
