I asked 1 question
You said, "then I can should it", doesn't that mean you think it's okay to say?
I think every word is ok to say honestly, tho some more questionable than others I don't care enough to lay myself in ppls business idk , i close my eyes n go away
I don't think any word should be forbidden in every context, I just think some words aren't morally okay to use because they carry a lot of weight and you shouldn't be surprised that you're being scrutinised and/or shamed for using them

Plus you mean that people with mental disabilities are dumb stupid or whatever
No only some, which is what the word plays on (obviously it doesn't play on the not stupid ppl since its used as a term equal to stupid just that its a slur)
But if you use the the word for the people you seem to think they're dumb that means they are in the same category as people with disabilities which is, a huge no
Words evolve, I wouldn't say its necessarily equivalent to mentally handicapped anymore cus like, ppl use the word for things/ppl that seem stupid, like it has 2 meanings ig

The meaning of the word didn't change though, people just started caring about the negative effect it has on people, I don't think that's a bad thing.

No, we're not even really meant to say mental or learning disabilities. It's now additional support needs.

Obviously, can't stop you from saying what you want, but the general opinion is no

I don't think anyone has a problem with the term learning disabilities, come on.

Yea no i wouldn't use it, imo a disability isn't and shouldn't be an insult.

if the oppression and negative thoughts for people with mental disabilities didn't exist anymore, then if maybe would have evolved. But it still keeps going and its still a problem in the world

Maybe because you live in a non English speaking country and your only exposure to English is the internet?

People have problems with everything because people are for some reason completely unwilling to accept the fact that humans are different and that it is ideal to actually be allowed to address that, for the benefit of everyone
