yeah that's not true. the brain-sex myth has been debunked many times. it's all socialization and conditioning.

It's not a myth actually, it's been proven that there are some inherent differences beween the male and female brain
biological, but not neurological.

and besides those differences are based on sexist beliefs, individual bodies/development and inaccurate measuring during the experiments.

Exactly. Also the concept of simplicity or complexity is very difficult to define so it makes this topic even harder to discuss about. Overall i think there might be and probably are biological differences, but the baseline is that neither of female or male brains is more or less simple than other. It also dependes on the person itself and their genes so i wouldn’t say men are more simple than women

Yess i still feel so ashamed that ive used this stereotype in fights
for example if ive fought with a person who identifies as a male ive pulled out the card ”ugh men are so simple they wont get anything” and like no thats not the way to do it

I think there's definitely a difference in the way men and women are raised (by society as well as family) and the fact that men are taught to be less responsible, especially domestically, and emotionally complex.

But I think the simplicity of a person is different case by case. My boyfriend is one of three boys, no sisters in his family - and yet, everyone always thinks him and his brothers must have a sister when they first meet them. I've honestly never met a guy who is so understanding of women and mental health. It's a credit to their parents honestly but a credit to themselves that they've never drifted from that.

I think there's also different ways men deal with the responsibilities of life etc. The biggest killer of men is suicide, because they're taught that they should be simple and uncomplicated.

But I've definitely met simple guys and I hope they've matured past that to realise they don't have to be.

See, I disagree, I think, because of societal expectation and patriarchy men ted to bottle up emotions and trauma way more than women which is hidden pain. This is evident by the fact that male suicide rates in developed countries are higher than womens. That being said, women attempt suicide at a higher rate than men, so I don't know if this is a good example.

Yea, tho attempted suicide might also be just an attempt at getting help and not actually committing suicide, so women might b more likely to do it as a cry for help while males bottle it up so much they just ukno,,, kill themselves
