Also, let's consider situations like mine where I had a coworker harassing me every day that we worked together.
I dreaded going in to work and had constant tension headaches from it. Every time I spoke to my manager about it and threatened to quit it was always "She does this to everyone." and nothing got done.
Nothing happened after I spoke to the store director either.
Fortunately she got fired for not wearing her mask properly, so I guess they finally caved when they realized she was just making everyone quit.

I also wouldn't call it a privilege when you have no choice other than to continue living with the parent that abused you for 16-17 years and is still just as toxic, because you don't make enough to not eventually drown in debt when the money you saved runs out.
any money that you can get is always better than none. like you can live in a shitty home and not be able to eat or you can live there and be able to eat.
